Customized Aluminum Ute Tray

      In February 2022, we received an inquiry from an Australian customer who wanted to make a customized Ute tray sample that can achieve multiple functions such as water storage, storage, camping, and off-road.

      In order to improve communication efficiency, we have started arranging engineers to draw sketches for customers based on their ideas. According to the customer's requirements - to achieve water storage function, the first thing we think of is the water tank. But how to turn the water tank into a part of Ute tray has become a major challenge for us; Conventional water tanks are square and placed inside Ute canopy for easy access.

      After several days of discussion and reviewing different materials, our engineering department finally came up with the following design:

      To install a water tank on the front panel of Ute tray. Make the frame of the headboard thick and large enough to accommodate a flat Rectangular cuboid water tank, so that the water tank can be perfectly hidden in the headboard of Ute tray. The edges of the water tank are welded with connectors, which allow the water tank to be connected to the Ute tray through screws.Considering water safety and durability of the water tank, we have adopted 304 stainless steel material.

      Except the water tank, the customer also wanted to do some design on the lathe to ensure that the goods are fixed. Our engineering department has referred to some cases and made the following designs:

      Several spaces were left on the lathe for installing six deck buckles. These buttons can be well hidden inside the lathe when not in use and can be picked up when in use. The appearance of deck buckles can prevent goods from moving or falling off during transportation, ensuring safer and more efficient travel.
